INGREDIENTS

1-1/4 cups commercial chili sauce
3 cups ketchup
1 cup yellow mustard
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. onion powder
1 tbsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tbsp. dried thyme
1 tsp. chili powder (hot if you wish extra heat)
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. liquid smoke (available in most grocery stores)
1/4 tsp. ground cumin
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup sorghum molasses

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine all ingredients EXCEPT brown sugar and sorghum in a sauce pan and slowly bring mixture to a simmer. Remove from heat and add sugar and sorghum. Mix thoroughly and occasionally as it cools. Store in covered container in the refrigerator.

CHEF COMMENTS

We love this sauce on ribs, pork roast and chops. It is fabulous with pulled pork. Makes about 2 qts. Enjoy!
